Mountain panorama, stage lights and a team that spent an evening somewhere else entirely: on Friday, 3 July, the Red Leafs Tax team visited the musical “Charly Chaplin” at the Walensee open-air stage (Walenseebühne) – complete with a behind-the-scenes tour and a highlight no one had seen coming.
A Look Behind the Scenes
Before the curtain rose for “Charly Chaplin,” we were given the chance to look behind the stage: How does a production of this scale come together? Who makes sure that costumes, lighting and technology all fall into place at exactly the right moment? The tour showed just how much precision, timing and teamwork it takes for everything to look effortless in the end – a parallel that didn’t feel entirely unfamiliar to us.
One particular highlight: as part of the tour, we got to meet two of the lead performers in person – a moment that made the evening feel even more tangible for the whole team.

The Performance
The musical itself took us along on the journey of one of the greatest entertainers of the 20th century – somewhere between slapstick, melancholy and sweeping ensemble numbers, set against the mountain backdrop of the Walensee. It was an evening that shows how the biggest stories are sometimes told best exactly where you’d least expect them: under the open sky, with a view across the water.

Why Days Like These Matter
At Red Leafs Tax, we work day in and day out on complex cross-border questions between Switzerland, Liechtenstein and other countries. That is precisely why moments like this one matter: they give the team space to connect away from mandates and deadlines – and it is exactly this sense of togetherness that also carries our collaboration in everyday work.
A heartfelt thank you to everyone who came along – and to the Walenseebühne for an unforgettable evening.
